A wefted wig is still the most commonly used wig. The fibers are synthetic and are mostly attached by machine, in lines or wefts. This form of manufacture allows for a lower cost per wig and means those clients who wish to have a good supply can find them most economical. Also some clients who still have hair may opt for this design.
The weights tend to be slightly heavier than other forms of manufacture. Therefore being warmer in winter but also warmer in summer. Like all our wigs, our wefted wigs are adjustable at the rear, meaning if there is continued hair loss a replacement wig can be avoided.
The wefted wig is the least breathable of all wig types, where the majority of air flow comes from the rear of the piece.
Wefted wigs are often the choice of those clients wishing to have the look of a thick head of hair.
Here at Judy Plum we have a policy of ensuring we have our widest colour range within this category.
